Description
Join the Alaska Department of Fish and Game and the National Park Service in exploring the biology, adaptations, management, habitat and wildlife safety of Northwest Alaska’s ungulate populations.
When: Friday March 23rd, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Saturday March 24th, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (and a follow-up
teleconference)
Where: Beringia Room, Bering Land Bridge Visitor Center, 214 Front Street, Nome, Alaska.
Fee: $74 credit fee (one 500 level graduate continuing education credit through UAA); $50 materials fee per
teacher. The materials fee provides you with take-home books and materials. If you do not
wish to take the class for credit, you will be charged only a materials fee.

This workshop introduces the national, award-winning environmental education programs Alaska
Wildlife Curriculum and Project WILD designed to assist PreK-12 students in developing awareness,
knowledge make informed decision about the environment.
• Applicable to all grade levels from early childhood through High School
• Useful in teaching multiple skills and content areas
• Take home curriculum materials
• Upper Level Continuing Education credit available
• Build lessons around locally relevant subjects
• Learn fun new ways to present material
